6/27/2019 0 Comments Portable Vor ReceiverThese Navigation Receivers are for VOR navigation, and to follow a Localizer on approach. Some of these radios also include a Glideslope Receiver. If you know you need a NAV with Glideslope, please see our Glideslope subcategory.
The charging port does not accept the cable provided. It's the right cable although the barrel is a bit too long, but it will not seat properly resulting in eradicate charging. In other words if I want it to charge, I have to hold the cable.
Because of the bad charging port, I opted to return this unit and re-order another in hopes of better luck (returns are not a problem with Amazon Fulfillment). After placing the new order, I decided to try the unit out before returning it using the initial charge it had on delivery. Much to my surprise, the output level was super low, not my experience with other V2.1 Bluetooth receivers, but is evident in all higher versions (V2.1 + EDR and up). When I read the description on the product packaging, I discovered the product page description is wrong. This unit uses Bluetooth Specifications V2.1 + EDR, not V2.1 as described, which greatly reduces the output level of this device. I immediately cancelled my new order. (I have several different versions of Bluetooth devices and use them in different applications. As a V2.1 + EDR unit, it performs as well as other same version receivers, but if you are looking for V2.1 receiver and with the charging problem, I cannot recommend this item.)
