6/29/2019 0 Comments Winchester 101 Or NikkoEjectors on the Winchester Select 101 purge spent hulls with authority. I held a Winchester Select 101 at a national sporting goods store. I loved how it shouldered, pointed and swung. Having owned an original 101, and also a Nikko 5000 (the 101âs more elegant twin), my reference points were true. The Select 101 is lighter and feels more nimble.
NO RESERVE!! Here's a Nikko Model 5000 Over/Under shotgun. This is mechanically the same shotgun as the Winchester Model 101...in fact, Nikko built the Model 101 for Winchester. This shotgun is chambered for 20-gauge shells and has 3' chambers. The vent-rib barrels measure 26' in length and are choked Modified & Improved Cylinder. It features a single-selective trigger and automatic ejectors. The receiver features some scroll engraving and Nikko's trademark Golden Eagle on each side. Overall condition is very good however the gun has seen some use. There is thinning to the bottom edges of the receiver finish and some minor blue wear on the barrel toward the muzzle. There is no rust or pitting. The stocks are in sound condition but show numerous handling marks, small dents and dings. There is a Pachmayr pad installed for a LOP measuring 13-7/8'. Weight is 6-pounds, 4-ounces. The mechanics appear to be in good working order and the bores are mirror bright. An excellent quality shotgun that can be had at a bargain when compared to the the Winchester 101. Buyer pays $25.00 shipping.

I'm looking to buy a new 12 ga over under. I know many of you will recommend a citori or silver pigeon but I'm interested in the Winchester 101 Midnight Sporting (because of budget mainly). My local cabelas (I have like $450 in gift cards which is why I'm going there) has one for sale for $1600. the few reviews I found indicated this was a very good over under. Does anyone have any experience with this particular shotgun? I was between this and the new Ruger Red Label but I think I'm leaning more towards the Winchester. I will primarily be using this gun for clay shooting with a bit of hunting thrown in, probably 75/25.
